Career availibities and finding a job in fashion

A job in fashion can be challenging and difficult but over the years I have found some great sites that could be helpful for myself and getting future internships and job opportunities.

General Fashion Jobs- Many found on LinkedIn as well and promoted on their own sites
Business of Fashion

Drapers
Artsthread
Fashion Workie
UK Fashion intern on Twitter

Graduate Training Schemes I applied for:
H&M Sweden Junior Print and fashion designer- not even experience and this I can hopefully build on in the summer by doing other internships
Boohoo graduate scheme- TBA
M&S Fashion graduate scheme- No reply
ASOS graduate scheme- TBA

Internships:
Longer placement at Paul Smith after a sucessful 1 week internship
Escada Germany design placement after a month long merchandising internship in London

These sites constantly post listings for jobs, internships and even competitions which can all be great ideas, going into the future. I will certainly keep a look out over the next months and try to apply to some of them to keep myself busy over the summer and not become 'rusty' at sewing and printing, if I don't do anything (which knowing me won't happen).

  2. I think it's a good idea to keep yourself busy during the summer. Maybe you should apply for more internships on Indeed.com. They regularly update new positions.
