Selfridges Loves India 2015

Selfridges' new section in their store at Oxford Street, which celebrates India's contemporary fashion  (Selfridges' loves India) is a collaborative exhibition from emerging and well known Indian and British designers. This collection launched on October 5th both online and in-store and featured exclusive pieces designed just for the collaboration. It also co-insides with a major exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum called 'Fabric of India', which i visited.
This range also features an exclusive worldwide collaboration with the concept of 'Bombay Electric.' Featuring vibrant and ready-to-wear fashion and accessories, this is a hot must-see collection. Five British designers: Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Roksanda Illincic, Mawi and Nicholas Kikwood. They have also created limited-edition sari scarves, available to buy in both Selfridges London and Bombay Electric in Mumbai.

I loved looking at the collection because of the variety of colours, prints and garment silhouettes. There were lots of sequinned items that didn't seem the most practical, but definitely were show stoppers. Many of the pieces in the individual collections were different from each other but still worked altogether and this was very exciting to see as well as the embroideries and prints used.
