Design a stroller competition
I felt like I really wanted to share this, so here it is! This is my entry for the Mamas and Papas stroller competition. The brief was to design a stroller that was unique, fun and incorporated prints. I looked at Cubism and created my own screen prints as samples for the stroller, I also kept in mind genders when designing and of course the look of the stroller.
I looked at a range of artists, designers, colour schemes, shapes and interiors. Here is my moodboard including just a few images that caught my eye and that I incorporated into my stroller designs.
I also colour matched my prints to my samples with Pantone's colour scheme so that each colour can be identified perfectly by shade. Some colour matches may not look right to you by eye, but since the sample colours changed when I scanned them in, the Pantone colours are exact to the print.

This competition was lots of fun to enter in and I enjoyed working with an array of prints, patterns and colours through the design process. It has also helped me to understand how to design in the industry and not just at university. I also feel much more confident in using Photoshop and putting my own ideas forward and taking charge. I put in a lot of hours for this project alongside one I am doing for University and I have to say it was certainly a great experience, regardless of whether I win or not!
But Fingers crossed anyways :-)
