Reflecting on end of year Fashion PDP presentation

I just presented my last presentation and what is probably the best presentation I have given. Coming back from Helsinki just the week before where I presented my work to over 200 delegates from the FIA, it would seem that this one would be a walk in the park.

Three years later and officially no notecards later, I feel very confident and comfortable about showing and sharing my work with others. With my placement at Paul Smith, a successful FMP in my opinion and 3 internships later I feel that I really had a lot to mention with my career direction, progress and future plans.

I chose not to put my work on mannequins, which would have been a good idea but the garment had small bells on the bottom and every time I lifted it up or put it on the table that sound could heard, which wouldn't have been on the mannequin.

Although 8-10 minutes is a good time to get our point across, I do feel that 10-15 would have allowed us to go more in-depth about the FMP and career direction. I cut a lot out of my presentation that I think could have been valuable to the 2nd years watching, but of course didn't want to risk going overtime. I don't think 5 minutes for FMP and 5 minutes for future development is enough to fully convey ideas especially after a full 3 years of learning and growing. None the less I am very glad it is done before the show and this leads me to now focus on my final major project photoshoot, as well as the fashion show.
