So since the Golden Globes happened just yesterday (Sunday 12th January 2014), I thought I would do my version of rating the worst and best dressed looks. Best= HIT and worst= MISS
Savannah Guthrie
HIT
This gown looked stunning on her. Flattering all of her curves with long sleeves and an off the shoulder neckline that really complimented her figure. The dress also has a mid-slit to show off those very popular Valentino heels that have been rocked this season. For accessories she matched silver to the bright orange gown and kept her hair down to frame her face.
Emilia Clarke
HIT
Emilia wore a Proenza Schouler dress with an a-line dipped hem, strapless and embellished gown in a beautiful very off-white colour! The dress looks good on her and doesn't take away too much attention from her face. Her shoes are also simple and not too loud. Her her was also kept to one side and since it is short, it frames her face nicely too!
Amy Adams
MISS
In my personal opinion, it just looked old-school and very unflattering. The colour block trend was very last season and to be fair we have seen some great Golden Globe looks from her in the past. The neckline isn't truly great and looks like a beach dress. It also looks like she just threw her hair up and put on a random pendant. It just doesn't look modern to me!
Amy Poehler

Wearing Stella McCartney, Amy's dress body looked fantastic! Although the dress is black, the cut outs are in the right place to make it look very modern and fitting for the occasion. Her hair was beautifully done and her makeup very classy and not cakey. Her choice of accessories were beautiful with the bracelet and the rings! This is simple and elegant.
Lupita Nyong'o

Capes have been quite in recently and we will see more of them! This Ralph Lauren dress was a hit in my eyes, mainly because of the colour and cut. I thought the colour choice was beautiful and it is very fashionable and on trend. Also the makeup, hair and accessories were kept to a minimum drawing our eyes on her and the statement dress!

Wearing Alexander MqQueen, at first I didn't get the top of the garment. The stripes on the top going horizontal would have made it look unflattering and widening the top half of her body. However the more I looked at this dress, the more I grew to like it! The black skirt on the dress makes her elongated and the fit is perfect. It looks very in-trend with the print and elegant for the awards. Double win. Slicking her hair back, brings more attention to the dress and the makeup and jewellery is stunning!

Wearing Carolina Herrera, I like this dress waist up. Waist down it looked like the dress didn't quite decide its own shape. Apart from the facts that the dress looks strange with that kind of volume and shape, her fair was fabulous and same for the makeup!
Louise Roe

Wearing Monique Lhullier, I thought the dress is very elegant! The cut, fir and flair is stunning and the lace adds a vintage and feminine touch in the red/orange colour. The accessories also look polished, however with this dress I think her makeup is overly done and the hair would have looked better in the updo.
Juliana-Louis Dreyfrus
MISS
In Narciso Rodriguez, Juliana's dress just doesn't compliment her. The neckline looks very old-school and then there really isn't anything special on the dress. On the left hand side there is some kind of detailing, but even is in the wrong place and doesn't look great. Her hair should have been kept down and statement accessories would have worked better.
Olivia Wilde
HIT
Metallic is usually dangerous because it can show everything. But in this case, it's what Olivia wants to do. The metallic covers, yet shows and looks great in the colour that it is! Her accessories are great, however the hair should have been done up with statement earrings and that would have been killer.

This Lanvin looks too old for her, it gives her no shape at the waist or hips and makes her look too old for her youthful age! The bottom of the dress doesn't look great either and the accessories don't go together either. The earrings are very statement, but there is nothing to balance that, a blue clutch would have been good. Her hair is slicked back and would have looked better down.

What a statement dress! Her figure looks impeccable and everything from the jewellery to the hair and makeup is perfect. I would say this is my favourite look this year!

Armani Prive has made her look very old! The lace, colour and style of this dress just doesn't suit Cate! Apart from the curtain-like dress the hair, makeup and jewellery is stunning!

This Jennie Packham dress makes Tatianna look beautiful! The dress just falls beautifully on her like a grecian goddess and the makeup, hair and accessories just go perfectly! I great sparkling silver look for the Golden Globes!

Givenchy has made her look like a goddess. Finally a statement necklace! I love everything from the dress and the fit to the detailing and her makeup. This look is sophisticated yet sexy.

Helen Miren knows how to dress younger, or at least her stylist does! What a stunning pop of colour, great fit and draping on the dress that just hugs the best out of her body. I also loved her matching accessories and her old hollywood type of hair!

This Dolce and Gabanna was unexpected yet so goddess like in a sexy D&G way of course. I love her hair and how it is put to one side. I also adore the fit of the dress and its like a glove on her, this dress is stunning!

Another Dolce and Gabanna garment! This dress hit and fits her body wonderfully and the hight rise strapless neckline really works. Also the peplum is quite flattering, however although I am also a fan of her makeup and accessories, I don't quite like her hair and think curled or updo style would've been better.

I love how her hair is kept back and shows the earrings. Now lets talk about that dress! It is perfect with the fit and flare and who would've guessed she's had a child? The dress is simply stunning and this has to be one of my favourite looks next to Kate Beckinstale.

I love Tom Ford, something about this works, especially with the simplicity! The dress is very simple but the colour and fabric make it very special. I love her choice of gold accessories and the peek-a-boo shoe at times.

I didn't expect this dress to be Zac Posen, but anyways, I don't like this. The dress colour doesn't suit her and the shape of the dress doesn't flatter her too well. A colour like Emerald green would've looked amazing with her hair colour or even Navy blue or red, just not yellow!

This Giambattista Valli is wrong. Although her hair and makeup is great, the dress just isn't. There is way too much going on and it looks like the dress is growing a tree.

This Rani Zakhem dress is beautiful. I like it and love the vintage print and ballgown. Over the years we have seen many celebrities like Olivia Wilde rock big ballgowns and this year it was Kaley and I think it works! Her hair and makeup also looks great!

This isn't a premiere for a movie Dior. When I think of the globes I think of dresses not this! But I dont like this...I love it! The front of it is glamorous and the back is spectacular, this is modern Globes dress very nicely pulled off in a glamourous classy way!

Here is another very talked about Dior look. We have seen Jennifer Lawrence wear Dior several times, but this one take the cake.. and the napkin and the duvet. The dress looks like a cake, napkin and duvet! She looks great in it until I start seeing duvets! Apart from that she looks amazing and I love her hair, makeup and accessories!

Don't even get this Prabal Gurang dress. Her hair is very simple, so is the makeup and then the dress! I don't like the cut or colours and the length makes it quite unflattering. Speaking of length, I don't like the shoes either. Everything seems off, compare this to her previous Golden globe looks and you won't even recognise her!

Another Dolce and Gabanna dress, but this just didn't work. The top of it makes her look like she is going to the office and the bottom looks like she is at the globes. I do love the makeup and belt though, but her hair and the top of the dress doesn't do it.

She looks like she is at a premiere in this Prabal Gurang dress and not the globes. The dress is overly embellished and there is just too much going on! The see-though panel is too much and this reminds me of her purple oscar dress that seemed to have been a miss in the past.

I couldn't recognise this dress as Marchesa! Her hair is simple and the choker is awful! Along with the that, the dress doesn't suit her and it just doesn't work.

I've seen this Stephane Rolland dress so many times and I always wondering if we would see it on the red carpet. Well here it is and honestly, it doesn't look great. The ruffles look like a napkin and I just want to tear that part off. Apart from that her makeup hair and accessories are flawless.

This Donna Karan Atelier reminds me of melted white chocolate with the cascading effect down of the dress! I love the fit and the train of the dress. Her makeup is very simple and could have been more dramatic but I love her accessories.
